Abstract:

Design development of automotive products is a prime focus area at AdvanSES. We take pride in being able to assist our clients with fast service and high accuracy. Figure 1 shows the hydraulic engine mount design. The part with the different components was reverse engineered so as to be able to generate a suitable 3-dimensional CAD model for FEA analysis. The 6 part design was scanned using 3D printing and subsequently the point cloud was used to generate the CAD.

Results and Discussion:

The FEA model is shown in the Figure 1. Hexahedral elements were used to model the different components of the hydraulic mount.
